With the resurgance of clones, I would not be surprised at all if they moved the production of the clones into Mexico or Guatemala to lower costs and avoid shipping via air or sea, like they have to do from China. (which US Customs inspects better...)

We live just a few hours from the border, and we keep planning a trip down there, and I'd love to find one if we ever do make the trip. I wouldn't have the slightest problem buying one for less than $20, so long as I KNEW it was a fake.

I wish I would have found a fake AG when I went to Mexico in November. That would have been a fun souvenior. The only dolls I saw were puppet types and the type in ethnic Mexican clothes.

I know that my sister Kelly sure would have appreciated the kindness of an email when she was bidding... I may be breaking a rule if I did this, but the reason for doing so SURE outweighs that.

I totally agree with you! I would be SO thankful if someone emailed me if I were about to buy a fake doll, or fake anything, represented as the real thing! Especially if ebay doesn't do their job.
